04 04 2011 Ruffian 23 Cruiser/Racer excellent condition for Sale
The Ruffian 23 is a 23 foot keelboat which was designed and built by brothers Dickie and Billy Brown of Portaferry, Co. Down. It is a great one design racing boat, and extremely family-friendly. Despite its size, the Ruffian 23 has cruised waters around Ireland, the UK, and further afield. Approximately 200 Ruffians were built and many are still raced regularly in Dun Laoghaire, Wicklow, Skerries, Baltimore, Carrickfergus, Strangford Lough, around the Clyde, the Isle of Man, and even as far afield as Hong Kong and Uruguay.
The Sting is in excellent condition, and has been raced continually in Dublin Bay where there is a large competitive fleet. It is ready to race, or cruise immediately. This boat was professionally serviced 5 years ago. This included replacing all timber fittings on rig, stanchions, winches etc. The deck was re painted with non slip deck paint in 2010. The most recent Survey was completed in 2008, and is available.
Sails: Genoa 1, Genoa 2, Main and Spinnaker. And same again for cruising.
