Welcome to the LRYC Junior Sailing Course 2018. We are looking forward to another 2-3 weeks fun filled, Irish Sailing accredited training at the Club. We have an active season ahead with both training, Club Racing and this year LRYC is hosting the “Double Ree” event which takes place on the 21st & 22nd of July. This event will afford our Junior members an opportunity to race in Ireland’s premier double handed dinghy event! The boats racing are; Mirror’s, 420’s, RS Feva’s & 29er’s. Of course if Juniors just want to come out and sail after honing their skills during the JSC, they are of course most welcome.

We will again be running the Cara na Mara Scheme for the younger sailors, however the Child must be 7 by the 1st January 2018, the Executive Committee has been most clear that there will be no exceptions to this rule.

For the Level 3 Courses this year, no definitive decisions have yet been made but we will most likely run Advanced Boat Handling & Kites & Wires. For those specifically interested in honing their racing skills, we will try and accommodate this too but we do not at this stage have plans to run the Go Racing course. If your child is interested in this, please make this known on your application form.

A limited number of Club boats are available for hire, including; Optimist, Pico, RS Feva, 420, 470 on a first come first served basis.
